This is our blog for August the 8th, 2020, Philadelphia Scrap Metal Prices.

Today we're going to talk a little bit about aluminum cans. Aluminum Cans won't stick to a magnet. So if you have a magnet on your  refrigerator, you can always try a magnet to see if it will stick to the cans. WD40 Can or some Campbell soup cans, they'll be stick. They will stick to the magnet and we buy aluminum cans. They will not stick to the magnet.

We buy cans, we like them in a nice tall bag, just one bag, no bags inside of bags. Sometimes there's bags inside of bags some people bring. But this will hold all kinds of liquid. You can see water dripping out of it. It holds liquid and its got trash maybe in it and so we really can't buy a bag like that because we don't what it weighs because the liquid, I think, weight more than the cans, so if we can, we like them nice and dry. They can be flattened. They can be whole or semi flattened it doesn't matter to us how they are as long as long as they’re dry and they’re aluminum.

Unfortunately, COVID 19 brought us a little bit lower prices in the metal market. Our price now for cans is 24 cents a pound. The cans must be dry for us to buy them so make sure you bring us dry cans only.

The can prices are a little low they're 24 cents a pound. Most of our aluminum is a little low. Our regular aluminum is 20 cents a pound for the sheet aluminum, Our wheels, aluminum wheels are 30 cents a pound, just to give you an idea of what is happening.

yes we were talking about the copper prices earlier they're going up that's great but unfortunately, the cam prices have stayed the same they went down about a dime when the corona virus hit and they stayed down so right now they're 24 cents a pound.

So, the prices have changed. We can't talk a lot about prices now because they are changing a lot. When they don't change so much, we can talk about that.

Thank you for watching our blog. I wish we had more prices for you this week but maybe it will change next week. Hopefully, COVID 19 will go away and we can all get back to normal.
