We're back to our regular hours after Kovic (COVID19). We're here from 7:30 in the morning till 5 o'clock in the afternoon, Monday through Friday and we're here Saturday from 7:30 in the morning until 11 o'clock in the morning.
This is our blog for March 24, 2021: Scrap Metal Prices Philadelphia.
In today's blog, we're going to show you some items you can bring in for some extra cash. We have aluminum cans on the scale, right now. They're 22 pounds. They're 40 cents a pound, right now. They're up a little bit. So, that would be $8.80.
Our next item, we have for you is some Romex wire. These are pieces that are too small to use for any other job, all extra cuttings and stuff like that. We'll look at the weight. The weight is 12 pounds. 12 pounds would be $21.60.
And for our next item, we have some of the Romex wire but the insulation is stripped off. If you take a look at this here, it's all bright and shiny copper color. That's all the Romex. That's what it looks like after you strip it. So, I'll put that on the scale we'll see what that weighs and see what it's worth. We have six pounds of clean copper on the scale and that would be worth $19.80.
Our next item, we have for you is a diecast lamp. It's an old lamp that looks like brass. Most people think it's brass but it's actually die cast. The lamp weighs 22 pounds at 30 cents a pound that's $6.60.
Our next item, we have for you, it's a brass lamp. It's a real brass lamp. It's not the die cast kind so, it's worth a little bit more money. It's 11 pounds. It's worth $19.25.
And for our next item, we have some lead acid batteries. These are small batteries. The lead acid battery that you would find in your cable box and the little kitty cars, your alarm for your house. Different things like that have these, your electric bicycle. All that has these little batteries in here. We'll put them on the scale. And it weighs 66 pounds, which would be $13.20.
Well, we put six different items on the scale today. We'll show you what it was worth. That little bit of stuff of cleaning out your garage, it came out to be $89.25 for all those items.
Well that's our blog for this week. Come on in and see us. The prices are going up. Our copper prices are much higher. Our brass prices are up. Our aluminum, Our aluminum cans. All the prices are doing good. So, come on in and make some extra money with your scrap!
