This is our blog for December 7, 2021: Scrap Metal Philadelphia.
Well, for today's blog, we have five interesting items. They're common household items, that a lot of people have in their homes. So, let's start off. We'll show you our first item.
This comes from a central air conditioner. This is known as an A-Coil. This is inside your house, inside your central air conditioner. Of course, you don't usually get this or take it out, but your air conditioner guy does. And sometimes, they're laying in your neighbor's trash, when your air conditioner guy leaves, or sometimes, uh, maybe, you can get it from the guy when you get your new air conditioner replaced. But, this is an A-Coil. This is worth $1.50 a pound. It weighs 34 pounds. So, that's worth $51.00.
Our next item, we have a copper bowl. You'll see a lot of these in the kitchen, just hanging up as a decoration. They get dirty looking, so, then people get rid of them. But this copper ball weighs two pounds. That's $3.50 a pound. So, that's worth $7.00.
Our next item, we have some rolls of wire. This was old wire found in the garage clean out, when people cleaned out the garage. It weighs 38 pounds. That wire there is a dollar pound, so it's $38.00.
And our next item, in a lot of old bathrooms, you'll see this brass shelf. A lot of people don't know it's brass. It's chrome plated brass. It's worth two dollars a pound. That's three pounds. That's $6.00.
And for our last item, we even have the kitchen sink. This is a stainless steel kitchen sink. It's worth about 50 cents a pound. It weighs 12 pounds. So, it's worth $6.00.
And now that will end our blog for today. We had showed five items that you can commonly find around the household. And they weigh 88 pounds. So, these items come out to be $108.00.
